He had worked in many European design agencies and been teaching for more than a decade, now he is a guest professor in TongJi University. His work has been exhibited in UNSCEO Zurich headquarter, Salone del Mobile Milan, Venice Biennial, New York design Week and many other venues. He has won more than 20 important design competitions which include IF gold award, Chinese furniture gold award and was collected by many domestic art organizations. In 2011 he founded PHAIdesign, in 2012 PHAIdesign launched its own independent products, in 2013 he started the art merchandise design and has been working for National Museum of China, PSA Shanghai and other art organization and artists. From 2019 he has been invited as the Creative Director of Beijing TV`s “Forbidden City, now create” TV show.

Undeterred, he decided to start his own design company and eventually became one of the top 10 brand designers in Malaysia. Through hard work and determination, Shawn won numerous awards and accolades for his designs and fulfilled his dream of creating a successful brand design company that showcases the soul of Malaysian culture to the world.
